St. Louis City Garden
Kaiser Electric was responsible for installing power for the three water features, the light fixtures (which included 400 in-ground, 175 for sculpture lighting, 170 in-wall and step lights, and 40 bollards) and the lighting controls. The unique project, located in the heart of Downtown St. Louis, required more than five miles of underground conduit and 1,000 light fixtures along the garden’s paths and walls illuminating the trees, sculptures and fountains.
The multi-million dollar garden combines lush plantings, 24 pieces of sculpture, a 4,000-square-foot cafe, rain gardens, three water features, state-of-art video wall and innovative audio tour.
The project posed several challenges which included: a tight schedule, no staging area and the environment. Despite these challenges, Kaiser Electric was able to complete the job within the allocated budget and schedule.
