Just in time for the start of college football season, Kaiser Electric crews have completed a $9.75 million project to renovate the West Side/Press Box of Memorial Stadium/Faurot Field at the University of Missouri (MU) in Columbia, MO.
Kaiser crews wired/installed new lighting and a backup generator, plus expanded electrical distribution, to the renovated area, which included approximately 42,000 square feet of existing club, suite, fan amenity, game operations and support spaces within the press box structure located on the west side of Memorial Stadium.
A portion of the existing press area was also relocated to the upper deck by the creation of an additional enclosed, conditioned space. An elevator was also added near gate five-west [south west corner of the press box] connecting the main concourse level to the loge and press levels.
The renovation project kicked-off in late January. The architect on the project was 360 Architecture based in Kansas City, MO and the general contractor was Sircal Contracting Inc. based in Jefferson City, MO.
